The first phase of the Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute (EPPI) general construction renovations space totaled 50,000 square feet.
The project called for “selective demolition” to allow for the placement of new concrete floors, the fitting of new walls, the installation of: plumbing (bathrooms), HVAC (boilers), a fire suppression system, ceilings, windows, doors, lighting, alarm systems, as well as elevator rehabilitation and environmental abatement for both building #4 and
building #5.
The design build portion of the job incorporated value design analysis, preliminary design to match use, complete (100%) design from conceptual drawings, permit applications / approvals by local, state & federal agencies (fire protection, electrical, mechanical, ADA, etc.), and variance & waiver submittals.
