


Children’s Hospital South Campus Research Facility Project

The South Campus Research Facility is located on an eight acre site on Civic Center Boulevard, near University Avenue in Philadelphia, across from the Hospital’s current clinical and research facilities.
A.P. Construction, Inc. was called to provide:
- complete dewatering
- excavation
- soldier beam and lagging
- tie back anchors
- rock anchors and shotcrete
- vertical rock archors
Once complete Children’s Hospital’s South Campus will house a high-tech translational research facility which comprises a central utility plant to support the entire Children’s Hospital campus, underground parking and garage, and an ambulatory building with outpatient care, day medicine, in addition to improved services for patients.
The full facility expansion is projected at $845 million and could total more than one million square feet.
