| PROJECT DESCRIPTION | |||||||
| Cleaning and cement lining is the most common rehabilitation method of water main renewal. Cleaning and lining improves the "C" factor (flow value) of existing pipes by eliminating corrosive build up of tuberculation covering the inside walls. The Lardner's Point and Queen Lane Gravity Main Project involved the cleaning and lining of more than 20,000 feet of 48" cast iron water mains, as well as 700 internal joint seals. Work was completed under fully trafficking roadways including Castor Avenue, Jasper Street, Fox Street, Huntingdon Street and Allegheny Avenue. |
