The Bridge Pier Rehabilitation Project was part of the Delaware River Port Authority's effort to improve the overall safety of the Commodore Barry Bridge.

The renovations took place at Piers E9 through E27 on the New Jersey approach spans of the cantilever bridge located in Bridgeport, New Jersey. The scope of the work accomplished involved the removal of deteriorated concrete followed by the reconstruction of new concrete pile caps.
