| The new home of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles is now called the "Lincoln Financial Field.", named after the Lincoln Financial Group who has recently become the corporate sponsor of the Philadelphia Eagles club. The state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue is known as one of the finest football stadiums in the United States. The groundbreaking for the premier $320 million dollar stadium took place in April, 2001. A.P. Construction, Inc., in association with Cruz, LLC, was selected as the principal site developer for the premier sports complex. This comprehensive endeavor included site, bulk and field excavation, underground electric and utility work, electric ductbank installation, the placement of sanitary/storm sewer and force mains, playing field under drain, site drainage and the formation of the stadiums' parking facility. The field, located in the heart of South Philadelphia, holds approximately 66,000 fans and opened it's doors in August of 2003. |
