| PROJECT DESCRIPTION | ||||||||||
| Ride the Ducks, an amphibious sightseeing corporation, is expanding its convoy - adding the Philadelphia Waterfront to the rising list of places in which it operates. The unique land-to-water tour will take passengers on a scenic journey through Old City, the Historic district, and South Street, before dipping into the waterway for a floating tour of the Delaware River along Penn's Landing. Ride the Ducks has selected A.P. Construction, Inc. to perform marine pipe piling, steel framing, pre-stressed concrete planking and general construction services for the installation of a new access facility which will allow "floating buses" to and from the Delaware River at Pier 11 of Penn's Landing. Philadelphia duck tours are set to begin in the Spring, 2003. |
